2PP062 – 14 September 2011

Arthur’s editing of this episode was delayed because of the annual Pride 48 podcasting extravaganza. He thinks, based on the evidence, that maybe he should teach Jason how to edit podcasts.

Today we mainly talk about the 9/11 anniversary, beginning with where we were. We move into more general thoughts about the attacks and its the legacy. Toward the end, we talk about the Republican “debate”.

  1. Roger Green says:

    Interesting thing about dates.

I’m SURE people in New Orleans can give you the exact date of Katrina. I recall it was August of 2005, but the date – well it depends on where you were – 23-29th. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Katrina

I remember OKC as April 1995 (19th? 20th? – it was the 19th), mostly because I associate it with Hitler’s birthday (April 20) and the end of the Waco siege (April 19, 1993 – two years to the day before OKC)

I still remember FDR’s voice – “December 7, 1941, a date which will live in infamy.” From RECORDINGS, not live.

Hurricane Hugo I DON’T specifically remember. (Slammed into Charleston< SC on Sept. 21-22, 1989)
