We recorded this episode only four days before Arthur posted it—an improvement on last time (by one day, but hey, we’ll take improvement where we can find it). We start with some of our usual banter, starting with our respective appliance problems. Then it’s on to convention speeches, starting with President Obama’s. Then, it’s on to Romney, with Arthur offering a little compare and contrast. He mentioned Fox’s reporting on speech ratings and he said it was President Obama’s, but of course he meant President Clinton’s speech.
Near the end, we talk about the economy, why the Republican proposals are doomed to fail and the irrationality of much of the discussion of the economy and economic policy. We had a few Skype issues at times; Arthur edited some out, but couldn’t remove them all.
